It's always a good time when it's Showtime at the Station!
CURRENTLY APPEARING
"It's Showtime at the Station" is a community theater venue consisting of a cooperative of performing artists. musicians, actors, aerialists and more are welcome on our stage.
Our venue building is rich in Doniphan history. It opened as the Doniphan Hotel in 1923 by Thom and Mae Huson. It was the perfect location for a hotel as it was near the train depot and station.
The Huson's sold the hotel to Dr. Williams in 1939 to become the Community Hospital. In 1954. Dr. Williams sold the hospital to Dr. Johnson, who owned it until it's closure in 1960 with the opening of the Ripley County Memorial Hospital.
It was later bought by Dr. J.G. Hunt and Hunt Broadcasting, who brought the first radio station to Doniphan. After, Dr. Hunts death it was sold to Fox Radio and remained a radio station until the flood of 2017.
It is now owned by Brett and Kat Robinson. Since it was a hotel that served those from the train station, cared for the community from the nurse's station and informed the public from the radio station, we knew that it had to entertain the community as simply, The Station.
